Digital India Awards 2016

The Government of India has been proactively engaged in seamless delivery of information/services with adoption of best ICT practices. Almost all Government Departments are now utilizing various medium like World Wide Web and Smart phones in making their services integrated and accessible to citizens. In order to promote more innovative e-Governance initiatives, Digital India Awards have been instituted under the ambit of the National Portal of India. The award acknowledges exemplary initiatives/practices of various Government entities in the realm of e-Governance. 

This compendium provides a brief insight into each portal that received an award in each of the eight categories comprising of Most Innovative Citizen 5 Exemplary Online Service Engagement, Web Ratna - MINISTRY / DEPT., Web Ratna District, Web Ratna - STATE / UT, Exemplary Online Service, Outstanding Digital initiative by Local body, Best Mobile App, and, Open Data Champion.
