DRR and HousingThis report has been prepared in response to the assignment given by the National Institute of Disaster Management to develop strategies/guidelines/tools for mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in the housing sector in India. The report covers the whole gamut of issues of the housing sector. The concerns relating to planning, designing, constructing and maintenance of housing and surrounding elements of built environment, including school and hospital buildings, as part of housing have been addressed.
