The Smart City Challenge Stage 2: Smart City Proposal Shivamogga

Shivamogga wants to become gateway to Malnad, and transform itself into a leading eco tourism destination through green urbanism. Some of its goals are; to optimise water usage through smart metering, to ensure 100% segregation and recycling of solid waste in sustainable manner, to create new E- toilets at transport nodes and public areas and to ensure 24*7 green electricity. It would also aim to provide affordable housing to all, generate alternative finance opportunities through commercial property development and levy user charges and betterment charges.
