Under the Stage 01 of Streets4People Challenge, the registered cities are expected to test at least one pilot; comprising a flagship public space project and a liveable neighbourhood. The city-led Design Competition aims to crowdsource innovative ideas for designing and testing the pilot interventions through quick, low-cost, and innovative solutions. Each city would launch their own design competition with specific details on site, timeline, and awards. This page presents the competition briefs of all cities and hosts the registration process.
Reimagine Indian streets as public spaces for all!
Who can participate?
Through this design competition the participants will get to be part of the COVID-19 green recovery initiatives of cities across the country.
This gives an opportunity to test their winning designs on-ground with the support of city officials, citizens, and other stakeholders.
Following the test-learn-scale approach, 36 cities launched the Streets4People design competition and received 1900+ registrations. This section showcases the winning entries which will be tested on-ground as tactical urbanism pilots as part of the stage 01 Streets4People challenge.
