The Smart City Challenge-Stage 2: Smart City Proposal-Hubballi-Dharwad

Hubballi- Dharwad aspires to be the gateway to southern Deccan region for trade, business and commerce. It intends to achieve this with the spirit if inclusion and citizen empowerment by synergizing the location advantage, technology, infrastructure, manpower resource and smart governance. Some of the proposed key metric improvements are; development of 12 parks by 2020, complete coverage of water supply by 2020, functional BRTS by 2018, four lane connectivity to Bijapur by 2020, introduction of new trains to hinterland etc.
