Urban WASH Strategy

This document is WaterAid India's country strategy on urban water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). It is structured into three parts that illustrate a sector analysis, thematic focus and objectives, and, a strategic roadmap to achieve these objectives. This urban strategy document is an attempt at synthesising different approaches for achieving objectives in each of the thematic focus areas across four levels, namely, national, state, city and community. It also discusses the different methologies that would be required for million plus cities, cities with 0.5 million to 1 million population and cities with less than 0.5 million population. Although the document is a roadmap for WaterAid and its partners in India, it provides an insight into the possible objectives and approaches that need to be considered while working with water supply and sanitation in different cities.
