Smart City Challenge Round 4: Smart City Proposal Saharanpur

VISION – “Saharanpur envisions to improve quality of life and leverage economies of Wooden Handicraft & Agro Industries”. The vision statement emerged from an extensive engagement with citizens, representatives of various public groups such as Senior Citizens' Association, women's association, different government departments and organization, Indian Industries Association, Mandi Samiti, Wood Craft Design and Development Society, Indian Medical Association, ITC Ltd etc. and our understanding of the city and assessment of its needs. Considering the City profile, SWOT and Strategic blueprint, the goals of the city were derived after an intense brain storming sessions with Technical experts, urban planners, Architects and stakeholders in forming the vision and goals for the development of Saharanpur Smart City so as to ensure that it cover more pragmatic solutions to provide a better quality of life.
