Proposed Prototype Designs for Shelter for Urban Homeless-NULM

The design of model day and night shelters for Shelters for Urban Homeless (SUH) under National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) has been prepared by Design & Development Wing, HUDCO as per the provisions under the scheme. The Model design for Day and Night Shelters is a prototype design for minimum 50 beds. The shelters proposed have accommodation for - Males, Females, Family and Disabled. The proposed Four Designs are based on a spatial configuration and layout which is suited to the four main climatic zones of India: i. Hot and Dry climate ii. Composite climate iii. Warm and Humid climate iv. Cold climate
