Session 4 GovernanceThe 'PPP and Procurement Training Workshop for Top 33 Smart Cities’,held in New Delhi on 1-2 June 2016 was organized by the Ministry of Urban Development & Asian Development Bank (ADB) in facilitating the Smart Cities Mission. It was was attended by over 50 eminent Government and other relevant sector participants, representing 24 cities.
Smart City Mission requires strengthening the existing governance abilities by building managerial, technical, legal and financial competencies for operationalization of special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and more specifically implementation of projects identified under PPP mode. The two day workshop on “PPP and Procurement Training for Top 33 Smart Cities” was held on June 1st and 2nd, 2016 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The sessions were structured to provide the participants with a comprehensive overview of conceptual learning and practical application of a range of public private partnership (PPP) models in the delivery of urban services and smart city proposal projects.
