The Technical Group on Housing Shortage has estimated the housing shortage in urban Inddia at 18.78 million units in 2012.95 per cent of the shortage of housing in the EWS/LIG segments. The need for low coast, safe and affordable hosuing to achieve inclusive growth cannot be overemphasised.
