Nagpur has chosen for itself formula of “e3i”, where the three “E” stands for making it an eco friendly, edu-city, electronically connected city while “I” is chosen to make it inclusive.Some of the plans to achieve this dream are; to converge Nag riverfront development and Metro rail projects to foster subcentre development, increase the hospital bed capacity, use land pooling mechanism to create real estate for logistics and warehousing in the eastern periphery, encourage TOD, provide last mile connectivity through creating cycle tracks and public bike sharing systems. Also, develop 10 new inclusive open spaces by 2020, create Nagpur City community network with 400 km of optical fibers network by 2020.
