Salem Smart City wants to establish itself as a commercial cum industrial hub with a diversified economic base that provides equitable opportunities to all. It wants to provide quality services through leading edge technology on the foundation of new urbanism principles. It plans to converge ICT with basic facilities to improve service delivery, operation and management. Enhancing mobility and environment protection are other focus areas.  It also wants to rejenuvate its rivers and water bodies.
