Description
Central Institute for Rural Electrification (CIRE) is a Training Institute established at Hyderabad (India) in 1979 under the aegis of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), a Government of India Enterprise. The objective is to design and conduct training programmes on various topics of Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution Systems and also on Non-Conventional/Renewable Energy Systems. During the last three decades, CIRE has organized programmes and workshops on Technical, Management, Finance & Accounts, Information Technology and Energy Conservation relating to Power Sector.
CIRE is also nodal agency for training of C&D Employees and Franchisees throughout the country under National Training Programme sponsored by Ministry of Power, GoI.
