The Centre for Environment and Development (CED), established in 1993, is an autonomous research and development, training and consultancy organisation focusing in fields related to Environment and Development. CED has its Head Quarters at Thiruvananthapuram; Eastern Regional Campus at Bhubaneswar, and Regional Centre at Hyderabad. CED is the Centre of Excellence on Solid Waste and Waste water Management, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs; National Key Resource Centre on Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation; and also the Regional Resource Agency, Ministry of Environment and Forests.
