Under the aegis of the Smart Cities Mission, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has introduced several assessment and monitoring frameworks that provide comparative benchmarks for the cities. These indices aim to encourage healthy competition among the cities and have led to improved service delivery, increased citizen engagement, and improved governance.
To gather feedback and suggestions on 4 of these existing Frameworks – Ease of Living Index (EOL), Municipal Performance Index (MPI), Data Maturity Assessment Framework (DMAF) and Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework (CSCAF) – we are inviting inputs from various stakeholders.
