Sensitization about Urban Transport (Reference guide + Training Module)

This volume of the sensitization  module aims to present  the Urban Transport scenario in India and to understand the ill effects of neglected urban transport on the environment, energy, public health and safety. It essentially gives a broad introduction to the key issues that form the main concepts of Sustainable Urban Transport (SUT) and presents the most important concepts.

It attempts to highlight, identify and establish some of the challenges that India faces in terms of urban transport and their linkages to social, economic and environmental concerns. The need for solutions is made clear from the onset of the module and its benefits in the short, medium and long term have been considerably deliberated.
