EIA in transport‘Strategic Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment’ aim to integrate environmental concerns in the process of planning, implementng and managing urban transport infrastructure aand services.
At the strategic level, SEA needs to be conducted for city transport/mobility plans. EIA is project specifc i.e. for transport projects like constructon of urban roads/ expressways, public transit systems like bus rapid transit system (BRTS), metro rail, mono rail, light rail transit (LRT), constructon of public transit terminals and parking complexes, etc.
