National Workshop on Accelerating Implementation of Urban Missions: AMRUT and Smart Cities was held in New Delhi for the AMRUT and Smart Cities Mission. The workshop focused on two key aspects: 1. Cross Learning and Experience Sharing and, 2. New Initiatives.
As part of the Cross Learning and Experience Sharing, cities of presented learnings from their experience of implementation of digitally integrated smart solutions through the Integrated Command and Control Centres, implementation of Street Re-design and Smart Roads, development of squares/public spaces/rejuvenation of lakes, etc, and implementation of impactful projects as part of the Smart Cities Mission. States also shared their experience on implementation of the AMRUT Mission in their respective states.
As part of the new initiatives, the National Urbanisation Policy, Citizens Participation, AMRUT Transformative Reforms, Smart City Awards, Liveability Indicators and the AFD Smart Cities Leveraging Program were presented.
