National Disaster Management Authority is in the process of preparing a National Guidelines on Disaster Risk Management for Cultural Heritage Sites and Precincts, following consultation processes among experts and professionals in the field.
The approach of these guidelines are to serve as template for Cultural Heritage Sites and Precincts to develop their own disaster risk management plans and strategies through risk assessment, risk reduction measures, emergency response measures and planning for post-disaster recovery.
NDMA invites comments and views from all concerned stakeholders. The Draft Guidelines can be downloaded from the link given below. You may send your comments and suggestions to policyplan@ndma.gov.in latest by 10th September, 2017. We look forward for your inputs so that NDMA is able to finalise the draft and circulate the guidelines.
