Addressing Water ScarcityThis policy review, a white paper from Council Lead Partner GE, provides a valuable starting point for governments to evaluate the appropriate mix of policies that will best fit their needs as they work to expand their water recycling and reuse programs. It offers policy options as well as examples from throughout the world. Topics include education and outreach, removing barriers, incentives, and mandates and regulations. To understand how water treatment technologies fit within the context of the menu of policy options, a brief review of water treatment technologies is provided at the end of this paper.
