Presentation on Revenue Models, Financing Options and Value Capture

The two day workshop on “PPP and Procurement Training for Top 33 Smart Cities” was held on June 1st and 2nd , 2016 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The sessions were structured to provide the participants with a comprehensive overview of conceptual learning and practical application of a range of public private partnership (PPP) models in the delivery of urban services and smart city proposal projects.

The participation in the group activities centered around a list of projects for PPP implementation that cities proposed in their Smart City Proposals. The workshop aimed at achieving the following objectives:

  • Private sector engagement/ PPP models in the delivery of urban services
  • To synthesize lessons from different states who have taken the lead in exploring PPP models implementation
  • Encourage and support practitioners to adapt and adopt context-relevant PPP models in developing and implementing the smart city
