Expression of interestThe Pune Municipal Corporation is preparing a Comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan for the city of Pune (pop ~3.2 million, area ~250 sq.km). The plan includes preparation of a city-wide network of bicycle tracks and cycle safe streets, bicycle parking, design guidelines, and a proposal for a city-wide Bicycle Share System with upto 23000 bicycles and 660 stations, to be implemented in phases. The Bicycle Share System is expected to link to the city’s railway terminals, bus rapid transit, city bus facilities and the metro, as well as commercial districts. The first phase of the Bicycle Sharing System will cover approximately 40 sq km and consist of upto 7900 bicycles and 285 stations.
PMC invites Expressions of Interest from companies for the set-up and operation of the Bicycle Sharing System. Only those companies that participate in the EOI process and are shortlisted based on the prequalification criteria will be invited to bid in the second stage.
