South Asia Procurement Innovations Award 2017

South Asia Regional Public Procurement Network (SAPPN), The World Bank and Procurement iNET launched  South Asia Procurement Innovation Awards 2017 on 1 November 2017. The objective of the annual awards is to  enhance learning and knowledge sharing from innovative procurement practices adopted in South Asian countries.

This second edition of the Awards become more attractive with the introduction of a Regional Winner and Runner Up awards, in addition to the selection of Country wise Winners and Runners up from all South Asian countries.  The regional winners will get opportunity to participate in 8th International Public Procurement Conference, Arusha, Tanzania in August 2018. All Country winners will participate and present in the South Asia Regional Procurement Conference to be held in Delhi, India in February 2018. 

Last date for online submission of entries is 31 December 2017. Further details and online submission can be availed from https://www.procurementinet.org/sapia/

Eligibility:

Any Government, Public Sector, Autonomous, University or Research and Training Institution following the Public Procurement regulatory framework and NGOs/CBOs involved in Public Procurement Management, awareness and communication and Oversight Support in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka can submit Case Stories for consideration. 

Submit Case Stories that demonstrate:

  • Innovations in procurement process and selection that lead to improved outcomes;
  • Instances of procurement process driving Social, Economic and Environmental Sustainability;
  • Use of Big Data in Procurement decision making;
  • Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in achieving economy and efficiency;
  • Reforms and modernization Efforts at systemic and institutional levels for better procurement outcomes;
  • Innovations for procurement capacity development and innovations that improve the participation of domestic industry in public procurement
