In the context of India’s complex urban challenges and in addition to increasing climate risks, sustained actions ensuring cities prepare for and develop the ability to thrive in a varying climate is crucial. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is instituting a first of its kind, Climate Centre for Cities within the National Institute of Urban Affairs with a vision to build climate actions in cities.
