The Government of Andhra Pradesh is hosting the “Happy Cities Summit: Amaravati 2019” – a global summit on urban innovation and citizen happiness hosted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, India, from 13-15 February 2019.
The summit aims to build on the success and momentum of the inaugural Happy Cities Summit (Amravati, April 2018) to establish Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh’s greenfield capital city, at the forefront of the discourse on urban innovation, with a focus on citizen happiness.
The summit will bring together 50+ city leaders (mayors and city administrators) from across the world, urban experts from over 30 countries including planners, architects, city-preneurs and industrialists in engaging formats — roundtables, solutioning workshops, site-visits, panel discussions—to enable participative discussions around urban innovations and the co-creation of ideas and solutions for cities of the twenty-first century.
The summit is also hosting a City Leader’s Forum on 12th February exclusively for Municipal Commissioners, Mayors and equivalent positions to engage on pressing-issues of well-being in cities and will explore answers through the summit. The detailed agenda, speakers and other details is provided in concept note attached. Register on www.happycitiessummit.org.
