National Conference on Building Communities Resilient to Climate Change

The Consortium on Climate Change & Natural Environment – comprising of the organizations World Vision India, EFICOR, EHA and AFPRO are jointly organizing a two day conference entitled - National Conference on Building Communities Resilient to Climate Change. 

The uniqueness of this conference is its intentional focus on grassroots communities and various initiatives / best practices being taken-up on climate change adaptation as well as mitigation by such communities, facilitating development and reducing vulnerability. There will be Panel Discussions on the following sub-themes:

• Climate Smart Agriculture and Sustainable Livelihoods in a changing climatic scenario
• Energy efficiency & Renewable energy - a catalyst to rural development
• Community Health and Climate Change
• Community preparedness & innovative response mechanisms to climate induced disasters
• State Action Plans on Climate Change – Case Studies and Opportunities for Civil Society Engagement

There will be about 30 eminent speakers at this conference who are subject matter experts, practitioners, Government officials and corporates.
