Meera holds a master’s degree in Urban Management and Development from Institute of Housing Studies (IHS), Erasmus University Rotterdam, where her thesis focused on the correlation between Sustainable Development and Globalization (represented by Foreign Direct Investment) in World cities & Africa countries. She was recipient of Fellowship under the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (2015). She also holds an M.Arch. (Urban Planning) and B.Arch. from VNIT, Nagpur. She is a recipient of first prize for her research paper on Sustainability at the "Pangaea Sustainability Conference, TISS, 2016”.

Meera is Director of BEEE design & research’ and faculty at Sir J J College of Architecture, Mumbai. She was visiting professor at Rachana Sansad, Mumbai. She has wide professional experience and she has spearheaded diverse projects in the areas of Urban development, Urban Conservation & Sustainable Tourism, Environmental Studies, Urban Mobility, Architecture etc.

She has special research interests in Happiness Economics and the challenges of Urbanization like Globalization and Climate Change.
