A self-motivated individual currently enrolled in the Master’s of Urban Management program with a degree in Architecture. This post-graduate course has broadened my perspective on the built environment and its current issues. I wish to gain a practical understanding of the modern techniques in the field of management and apply them for the betterment.
Prior to entering CEPT I did my graduation in Architecture. I have a work experience of teaching at University level, which has imparted me with great collaborative skills. The master's course of Urban Management allows students to focus on understanding how townships and cities function. Urban settlements need constant attention to maintain the existing structure and manage their future expansion. Considering the current situation of services in our neighbourhoods, townships or cities, there is a demand for professionals who understand the complexities involved in managing human habitats. They strive to improve the technological, operational and financial functioning of cities with the aim of improving liveability by preparing Management Plans for an urban neighbourhood and large urban area through various ‘studio’ exercises.
