Mr. Ershad Ahmad is handing the lead portfolio in the development and implementation of Project Communications Strategy under the Prime Minister’s National flagship program on Smart Cities Mission. As a Communications Specialist, he is providing the Marketing/Corporate Communications, Public Relations/Awareness, Behavioral Change Communications (SBCC) and Citizens Engagement support to the Project Communications Consultants (PMC’s) like Tata Consulting Engineers and Eptisa on the Smart City Mission in Guwahati, Assam, Patna, Bihar and Kakinada, AP. The work includes the planning and implementing mass media, new media and non media communication activities in line with the Smart Cities mission. The profile specifically involves following key responsibilities:

• Plan, Develop and Implement Project Communications Strategy for the Branding, Public Relations, Awareness, Advocacy and Citizens engagement 

• Develop and review key messages/ materials/ design appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools for IEC, evaluate the impact of activities 

Ershad is a trained Public Relations/Development Communication professional (from AJK MCRC) with experiences of managing both urban and rural development communication projects for the Government, Private Sector and the civil society organizations in India and other South Asian countries. He was worked as Consultant in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Election Commission of India, Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Health and Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation. Additionally, he has been associated with UN/international agencies World Bank, UNDP, UN Millennium Campaign, Save the Children Sweden and UK in India, Nepal and Afghanistan.
