City’s Vision
Rohtak aims to boost holistic development of their youngest population by providing safe access to public spaces, Caregiver friendly amenities, Improving road infrastructure and enhancing interaction and play opportunities, they plan to achieve this by building on existing land use planning and strengthening the capacity of local administrators.
The Model Town area in Rohtak is chosen as a neighbourhood since it has high concentration of 0-5-year-old children and is in proximity of multiple early childhood facilities where young children visit frequently with caregivers. It has some potentially risky areas for this age group and hence needs immediate attention. Working in this area will also benefit high concentration of vulnerable population residing in this neighbourhood.
