Peer Learning Workshop : Scaling nurturing neighbourhoods for young children and caregivers

The ten winning cities under the Nurturing Neighbourhoods Challenge (NNC) are presently working hard to scale young children-oriented neighbourhoods. Through the combined efforts of city officials, experts and citizens, various public spaces are being transformed, including parks, gardens, anganwadis, public health centres, streets, junctions, and transit nodes.

To be held in Pune – an Urban95 lighthouse city – the first NNC peer learning workshop aims to create a platform for constructive dialogue and interactions between cities, experts, and other stakeholders. Cities will have an opportunity to:

  • Share knowledge, ideas, and learnings from implementation of good practices on ground.
  • Discuss and co-create strategies to scale and sustain young children and family-oriented neighbourhoods.
  • Present their progress, challenges, and way forward.
